Remarkable lives

Martin Hughes, Chief Executive introduces Lilian Faithfull Care, a charity with over 70 years’ experience of caring for people in Gloucestershire. Established by their namesake, the formidable Lilian Faithfull.

What sets Lilian Faithfull apart?

As a charity you can trust us to put care before profit which means we can operate differently from commercial care home providers. Our care comes from the compassion, understanding and knowledge of every member of staff who work in a holistic team. We treat each resident and guest with dignity and put their needs and wishes at the heart of all we do, supporting them to be as independent as possible and part of the community.

What care do you provide?

We have five care homes offering day care, respite care, assisted living, residential and nursing care, affordable flats, plus specialist knowledge of dementia and end of life care. Whatever form our care takes, we provide a safe, stable ‘home for life’ and have never asked anyone to leave due to their personal financial circumstances.

Tell us more about the Day Care Hubs

Our two Hubs, Royal Garden and Secret Garden, offer flexible personally tailored day care, with expertise for those living with dementia. We are passionate about wanting to improve the quality of life for those living alone, promoting independence and giving respite and support to families and carers.

Both Hubs are in a peaceful setting of two care homes in Cheltenham. A visit includes one to one time with carers, fun, engaging activities, a nutritious lunch and refreshments. Guests are looked after by our team of qualified and experienced care staff who work with them and their families to support and plan the level of care needed at home too. Open weekdays guests can book a few hours or a whole day and as a charity we can offer competitive rates.

Please come and see the Hub for yourself. You’ll get an immediate feel for the warm, happy and relaxed atmosphere. You are welcome to join us for a coffee and meet the team to ask any questions. If it’s difficult to visit us, we are happy to come and see you. Contact Mark Norris on or call 07577 757239.
