We’ve reached a point in the year where tradition - the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation - becomes more important than at any other.

 

Some of our traditions are steeped in history and followed to varying degrees by a wide variety of us whilst others are individual and personal to our family. Although most traditions will have been passed to us through our parents and grandparents, we also have the freedom to start our own special ways of marking time that will, in turn, be passed down through the generations for years to come.

 

As a team, we often find ourselves reflecting on these ideas because as well as being local and independent, we like to think of ourselves as a traditional estate agent. The values of customer service that Brian Gusterson and Michael Palmer instilled when they started the business over 25 years ago have been passed down and remain at the core of our identity, along with much of their knowledge of the local property market.

 

However, as part of the fast paced property world, we’re also conscious of the need to constantly adapt and evolve. Having worked together since 2004, Jon and I have actively created a few traditions of our own and will continue to do so.

 

By monitoring local sales patterns, reviewing national property trends and actively seeking client feedback, we constantly find new ways of working that add to our pool of expertise, improve our systems and maximise the numbers of sales we achieve at the most favourable rate.
