Coughton Court Presents a Glorious Summer of Events

Coughton Court is an ideal setting for outdoor theatre suggests Marketing and Events Officer Abi Cole.

Now that summer is with us the team at Coughton is ready to deliver a vibrant programme of drama and events, all set against our stunning backdrop. The lambs are chasing each other in the field, the walled garden is fragrant with roses and the vegetable plot is abundant with produce.

Our summer season kicks off with the annual Village Fete, offering food stalls, music and traditional garden games for all ages to enjoy.

On Friday 21st July, the Lord Chamberlain’s Men will be returning with Shakespeare’s hilarious farce, The Comedy of Errors. This award-winning, all male company performs Shakespeare as it would have been; in the open air, in full Elizabethan costume and with traditional music and dance.

New for this year, we are hosting the Illyria Theatre Company who will bring their exciting adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic story, The Lost World, to Coughton on Saturday 19th August. Join us on a Jurassic adventure with prehistoric thrills, monster laughs and life-size dinosaurs.

The Stable Coffee Bar will be open during the interval of both shows for teas, coffees and ice creams plus you can browse The Coach House Shop which is stocked with gifts and treats.

Our popular outdoor events are a unique opportunity to gather the whole family together for an evening of theatre and watch the sun set over the Tudor court - don’t forget to bring your picnic!
